The service was slow, the meals were ordinary, honey chicken the second worst I have ever eaten. I have eaten Chinese food all over the World and this Restaurant does not rate a mention. The boiled rice never arrived but I was charged, they came out with the first entrees which were not ours. I did not mention the boiled rice as we had ordered fried rice as well and we would have been finished our meal by the time they sorted it out.

I\'ve been there many times and have always had a good experience at China Town Restaurant. Like many Chinese restaurants in the Aussie burbs, they are forced to offer a pretty standard \"Western Chinese\" menu which you see in many Chinese restaurants, like honey chicken for example, because it seems that it\'s what Aussies want (the Western Influenced Chinese food) and seems necessary to the survival of many of these restaurants unfortunately. I have been to China 4 times and would love to see more authentic menu options in most Chinese restaurants. If the westerners stop expecting \"Honey chicken\" and \"Mongolian Lamb\" everywhere they go then perhaps some of these places could be let to explore the menu options a bit more and bring more authenticity into it. It\'s the Aussie expectation creating this, the bogun that wants his Chinese Honey Chicken. Never have I encountered a dish like this in China. Most Chinese chefs and restaurant owners want to things differently and more authentically. This restaurant delivers the western expected menu reasonably well, and they do some good chef\'s menu items which are not so mainstream and a bit more authentic. The staff are very friendly and I\'ve never felt unwelcome or rushed. My only criticism is that I would like to see more meat free dishes, but I would say that for most Chinese restaurants of this nature and most restaurants in general for that matter.
