Amazing! My family and i went to AL Amir on Scoopons for my Grandad's 83rd birthday. He was unable to get upstairs to the restaurant so we dined downstairs in the Italian restaurant below. The waitress was very accommodating and polite and brought all the food (6 courses of it) downstairs to us. The food was delicious and there was something there for everyone (9 of us including my fussy eater husband and my 1 year old son)to enjoy. Highly recommend this restaurant. While ur there definitely try their drink Al Amir infusion... non alcoholic and sweetly satisfying.

A real gem... I dined with a friend and we shared 4 mezze dishes and a tabouli between us and left completely satisfied... Great variety of flavours. Great atmosphere and the staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the entertainment... It really adds to the experience! A good wine list and relatively inexpensive if buying by the bottle. Recommended!!

This is very out of date. New ownership and we dined there recently. They did not have a liquor licence because of new owners but we enjoyed ourselves, especially my husband. Ask for the special non alcohol Al Amir infusion drink, it really is worthy of a taste. The food was crisp, fresh and amazing tastes.

Situated on the first floor, this restaurant has nice views over the busy intersection of Rundle Street with Frome Street. Make sure you book ahead and specify that you want a window table, as it is great to watch the crowds below as you dine. However, inside there is plenty to look at too, particularly on a Friday and Saturday night when they have a live belly dancer. This adds to the atmosphere and not to mention gives you a free show! Whilst the ambience is the best part of this restaurant, the food is not too far behind. The flavours are fresh and wholesome. The servings, whilst not big are sufficient to feel full when you leave. An excellent restaurant, and highly recommended.
