Opinions, opinions, opinions...Everybody's got one!! I love food and have worked in the industry for more years then I can remember and my sdvise to everyone is this. Do not base your visiting a restaurant/cafe on peoples opinions, experience it for yourself and make your own judgements. There are so many factors on any given night at a restaurant that can effect the opinions of people for examle; expectation, frame of mind and mood that a person is in, human error, what your order etc just to name a few. To me Sunny is being ridiculously harsh. I have been going to Bocelli for years and it remains in my OPINION the best cafe of its kind. The food is excellent, the serves are huge, but still presented with class and flair. The menu is big so I am sure some meals are much better than others, but to say that the sauce used by Bocelli comes from a Heinz can is offensive and unjust. To Sunny I say, Have the Marinara next time and I challenge you to find a tastier, cheaper Marinara in Adelaide. Let me make it easy for you, you can't. Remember people its a Cafe, not a restaurant. So I say to the guys at Bocelli well done, you have a wonderful product and remain one of the few cafes that offer good food, genourous portions and still allow us to have some money left over to go to the movies after dinner. Keep up the good work!!
Food awesome, Value even better, Ambience inviting and noisy which is how it should be and the waiting staff are one of a kind and wonderful. Regulars constantly. LOVE IT!!!
We love this place. It's convenient (sometimes can be difficult to get a park), and the food is always great. Ususally pizza (the Deliziosa or Marinara) and coffees. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fairly quick social or business lunch/dinner. It is noisy but that's part of the charm in this sort of place. Service is always quick and friendly.
No matter what cafe/restaurant we go to and what prices we pay for a marinara pasta, none of them have ever been better than the ones served here. We normally change the pasta to a penne (personal choice) but not only are they extremely generous with the quantity of seafood included in the dish but the sauce is not just your typical tomato sauce or the ones that taste like a tin of tomatoes....its a fabulous flavour that we can't compare. All meals are generous sizes so we never have an entree as we wouldn't be able to finish otherwise!
On the bad side, the service of the floor staff is pretty average, and its pretty noisy inside generally speaking. On the good side, its noisy because the food is so good, and the value is fantastic. The service from the staff behind the counter is great. The pizza crust, when it first comes out on the pan, is always so crisp it shatters when you bite it. Every time. I love it. The pastas are a meal and a half (dinner to night and lunch tomorrow). I see lots of recommendations on here for the marinara, but I cant go past the alla panna, and my boyfriend feels the same about the bolognese.
The marinara and gamberi here are fantastic! The meals are huge and at a great price - good for informal/casual dining and some amazing Italian food
