Casino Grill

I've been three or four times to the Casino Grill and am always impressed. Located on the top floor of the Casino on North Terrace, this restaurant is next to the Pullman Grill. There is an open kitchen so you can watch the chefs at work.

We usually go here before a play at the Adelaide Festival Centre. I always let them know when I make the reservation. So far they have always ensured we were out the door half an hour before the play started.

Service here is generally first-class. We hardly ever have to ask for our water to be topped up. The place looks first-class too, it is very elegantly furnished.

I've only ever had one main - the Barossa corn-fed chicken supreme pocketed with three cheeses and herb farce. It was a lucky pick the first time we went there and I've never felt the need to try anything different - it's that good! And I always have the espresso ice cream cones for dessert. Anyone overhearing us during the meal would think we had discovered the best thing since sliced bread, lots of appreciative oohs and aahs!

Definitely recommended for a intimate dinner. Five stars.
