Delicious greek food!! My favs are the Saganaki and the cheese ball thingys. I love visiting the wine cellar below as well.
I returned to Estia with a few family members after having an enjoyable experience early last year. Similarly to my last visit I was not disappointed; definitely making me question why I had not returned sooner. It was a warm saturday afternoon and we had hoped to sit outside. Unfortunately we missed out, but were led to a central table inside. The interior is simply decorated and buzzing with lively staff and patrons. The service was faultless and friendly and our food was brought out promptly. We ordered an assortment of dishes to share, which were served as one large platter, serves were generous and the quality unsurpassed in the area. To our surprise we were offered a table outside once we had finished eating, and continued our leisurely afternoon sharing wine in the sun. I loved every minute of Estia, as did my family. Will definitely be back soon!
My favourite greek restaurant in Adelaide by far. Food, service and ambience top quality. The mouth watering lamb is to die for.
Best Greek restaurant in Adelaide by far (and even beats some on the Greek Islands if you ask me!) - best haloumi ever - don't bother ordering it anywhere else after you've tried it. Everything is delicious actually - moussaka, lamb fillets, greek salad - always good specials, very attentive staff & reasonably priced, plus an awesome location at beautiful Henley Beach!
This restaurant is definately the best Greek Restaurant I have ever been to. To find a restaurant that serves real traditional Greek Food I have always found very difficult....The Staff bent over backwards to explain the various dishes and atmosphere and service was excellent. Many years ago I visited Greece and this is the only Restaurant that can compare with the food I experienced over there. I will definately go back and recommend this restaurant to everyone.
My favourite place to go and eat at night. love love love it - have never had a bad experience after all these years of going there.
This restaurant is consistently exceptional. The serving sizes are just about right and the food is full of flavour and always cooked to perfection. Staff are always excellent and the place always has a busy and vibrant atmosphere.
Wow. We loved this little gem of a find. We live on the other side of town & rarely come to the beach. We loved the faultless service, everything was prompt & immediate. We didn't have a booking on a busy Friday night however a small table was found for us. We loved the food, I particularly loved the chicken liver dish, even my mum doesn't cook chicken liver that good! My partner loved the calamari, it was such a big serving! Everthing was great & we will go back & we will tell our friends.
I recently dined at Estia and the experience was fantastic. We dined with a large group of 10 people and although it was very busy they still made room for the last minute extras who tagged along. We decided we would all order different items and share them between us - this was an excellent idea as we were able to try most of the menu. My favourite items were the lamb skewers and octopus salad. A great night out for someone looking to experience some authentic greek cuisine.
have the banquet, it's finally available for 2 people now. check out the downstairs wine cellar.why is this place booked out every day for 20 years???. because it is perfect. the flavours of the food leap off your fork. the variety is great. the waiting staff must get looked after, they rarely change, know their stuff, and are damn good.
delicious small meals
waiter was strange friendly guy
get you're wallet out
Dropped in for a quiet mid-week dinner after not being able to find a menu for Kefi at Glenelg. With an open fire, the restaurant was warm and inviting. The food was most enjoyable (I've only eaten Greek a handful of times) and I couldn't fault the service. Will definitely be returning soon.
Can definitely recommend Estia for your next group gathering. For the $35 banquet there is plenty of food and lots of variety. For an extra $24 you can upgrade to a three hour drinks package - and they were definitely not stingy on the drinks either. We had a great night.
Top location. Generous serves for reasonable prices. Nice waiting staff. Not much to fault really.
Love the banquet on this menu, it's a great price for the amount of food that rolls out! great way to have different things otherwise it is a bit annoying having to order like 5 different dishes to put your meal together. We had our staff christmas dinner for 8 of us and the staff were wonderful!
The food and service has really dropped as Estia's. It no longer has the authentic Greek flavours in its food. I don't know whether there has been a change of chefs or management but it has changed. I've been a regular diner at Estia's for the last 10 yrs and have never been disappointed until recently. The last 2 times we have gone its just not the same.
Went with my family for the 1st time, there were 9 of us so we did the banquet which we thought may be a bit expensive per couple but we were glad we did it when we saw the amount of food that came out. We were very impressed with the food, the entrees delicious and the lamb for the main was so tender. The banquet included coffee for everyone at the end, made to order, which was great (shame there were none of those beautiful greek pastries included!). This is one of the 1st times i have eaten Greek food as i have always thought it is quite expensive for what you get but we will definitely go back to Estia for the banquet it was that good.
