I have been going to Imperial Peking for years and i have always had great food from there. I love the honey chicken, shredded beef, satay beef or chicken, and schezuan beef. Fresh lobsters and fish mean you know youre getting them as fresh as possible. Gotta love the deep fried ice cream too!!

I have been to this establishment about half dozen times over the last 10 years or so and found it to be reasonably consistent. I generally stick to their Peking Duck - which is as good as it gets in Adelaide (not boasting too much compared to the real thing in china). This is presented by rolling it out on a trolley where the crispy skin is carved before your eyes. These are then to be DIY wrapped in small round flat bread with condiments. You can order the full set where they will use the remainder of the duck to create fried noodles with the meat and a soup with the bones. One can also order fresh fi$h and lob$ter$ (i.e. they are swimming in the tank at the end of the room). As I have not tried many of their other dishes I won't comment othern than to say the dumplings (Jiaozi) are reasonable. Decor is comfortable and a private back area is also available. Enjoy~

The best place to eat Peking Duck in Adelaide! Also try their smoked tea duck. One of the limited (if not only) chinese restaurants in Adelaide to eat live lobsters or live fish. For something different, try their shredded beef peking style and ask for "pockets" as an extra accompanyment - they'll know what you're talking about. They are little sesame pastries that you fill with the shredded beef. If you like dumplings, try their fried dumplings or their peking meat buns.

I have been loyally getting take away from this place for almost a decade. So just imagine my disappointment when I read about their appalling kitchen hygiene habits. Joel Zhuo Bin Guan and Di Fei Huang may as well flip be their customers the finger on entry. This is the ultimate ?up yours? to anybody who has ever eaten here. Such a blatant disregard for public health and wellbeing. I can?t believe they had the nerve to put up a sign that said they were closed due a gas leak when they were actually forced to clean up their filth. Is this what loyal costumers deserve? I will not be going back to Imperial Peking. Stay away people of Adelaide. They couldn't care less about your safety; don't give them your money.

Family night out with 9 of us 7 pm. The service was very poor, we sat for half an hour without an drinks offered, they finally came but one order was incorrect, fixed straight away. Food order taken another half hour later with very few entrees arriving by 9:15pm!! We were not happy at all, spoke with the owner/manager and food was then fast flowing. There was at least one other table complaining of the slow service. Other groups came later than us and were finished eating way before us... certainly need to organise their staff and kitchen better. We were pleased with the quality of the food. We are returning again this week to see how they go for just 3 people!

Went to Imperial Peking Friday night with a group of four of us. Found the service to be quite poor. We were seated for a good 20 minutes before drink orders were taken and then continued to wait another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Our main courses all arrived at different times, with at least 10 minute intervals in between which was highly inconvenient as our mains were ordered to eat together. In addition, the steamed rice didn't arrive until we'd almost finished our mains and only after having asked the staff where it was. No complains on the quality of the food, however the food wasn't of a fantastic service to compensate for the poor service. Will probably not return in the near future.
