Our Favorite Resturant! Great food , great service , Great Atmosphere! Reade and Donna Sa Contestants MY KITCHEN RULES 2011
food is awesome have been there may times, going there with friend in October and family in November.very filling and tasty dishes well done
it is very hard to book. but when your there it is so worth it. Great place to eat out and reasonable prices. Just great.
I am 6ft 4" have a huge appetite and usually eat what others in the party leave but at this restaaurant I had to have a doggy bag for the first time in my life...This place is fantastic and probably one of the best value and best food outlets in SA, possibly the country. I hope they continue to excell at what they do, very very well!! Best dining experience for years.
An absolutely fantastic place to eat, great quality food and unbelievably good value for money. I took some friends there who are here from Greece on holiday, they could not believe how good the food was, better then the restaurants in Greece.
It is noisy, it is small but it is the best in adelaide
Huge serves and great prices. The food is fantastic!!! I normally go for the takeaway option as they are booked out weeks in advance and takeaway is just as good as eating in. Excellent friendly service too.
Bit noisy and crowded when our group of eight went for dinner but that created an interesting atmosphere. The food was sensational and good value - the guys in our group are all big eaters and we didn't leave hungry - we shared a varied selection of fantastic dishes! Waitresses did a great job too!.
I agree with the review by hendrix possibly the best Greek food in Australia. HARD to book, worth the wait.A must for all.
Amazing - hard to book but worth the wait if you can organise way in advance! Going tonight!
Heading there again tonight. Best seafood and mixed grills in town and Jim and Cathy (owners) always look after us every time we go. Servings are huge and very reasonably priced
It's cramped, noisy and VERY hard to book but oh so worth it. I am usually an Asian food freak but if someone says we're going to Kefi, I go straight away. If you go with only two people, get ONE entree and ONE main between you otherwise you won't finish.
This would have to be one of the best places that I have put my feet under the table. The food is excellent also the service is great. If you are a big eater and enjoy class top food ...this is the place that you want to be. I can highly recommend this great Greek Cuisine ,excellent value for money.
Absolutely the best greek food in Adelaide! I'd say Australia, but I havn't been to many others around Australia. Get the mixed souvlaki and it wont dissapoint, just make sure you bring your appetite, the meals are huge! Most places that have large meals dont capture as many flavours, or only some of the meal is good, but somehow with kefi every bite in their meals tantalises the tastebuds. I live close so we often get take away, then you can pig out and make a mess at home. My mouth is watering just thinking about this place, it's a must try if you are in the area.
Adelaides best kept dining secret.... also quite possibly one of Adelaides hardest places to get a booking for a large group. But if you are prepared to book ahead it is worth the wait. Quite simply the best Greek food you will get in Adelaide, and I have tried them all many times. This is probably as close as you will come to having an authentic greek meal without travelling to the country itself. No one does a mixed meat or seafood grill that even comes close for the quality and value that this place dishes up. I have put all of my friends on to this place and they have all come away wanting more. Cant wait to get back there!
Best Greek restaurant in Adelaide . I don't know what the last 2 reviews are talking about. Get a life and go to kfc
Got a takeaway meal and service was prompt; not overly friendly but friendly enough. To eat in might be a bit small and crowded for people but the quality and amount of food more than makes up for it. Here is a sample of what you can expect for around a $22 takeaway meal; Souvlaki and Salad http://img26.imageshack.us/i/kefisouvlaki.jpg/
Great food, big serves! i personally order takeaway as i find the inside to cramped and noisey. it's great takeaway if your eating in a group you can just get a few and share! :):)
Never disappointed with the food, service and value at Kefi. The meals are huge and the food is divine. One of the best dining experiences in Adelaide.
Amazing - the best Greek food in Adelaide!
fantastic in som parts
The food is superb and good value. Popular with the locals it is so busy that it is sometimes hard to get a table or get through on the phone to order takeaway. Closed in the middle of winter
I adore the food but only like going with a small table of people otherwise the noise means you miss out on conversation. Not a fan of the time limit on seating but hey the food always makes the visit worth it.
The meals are huge, and the price is very reasonable. However, the actual taste of the food is just ok. The lamb cutlets were well cooked, but a little bit bland, and the large fried potatoes were also average. They would be much better if they were smaller and hence more crunchy. The chicken souvlaki was also ok, but still a bit bland and also fatty. It is quite cramped and noisy, but the staff are friendly, and there is a homey feel to the restaurant.
Excellent food. I had seafood but by the time you get near the bottom its cold. They made us stand on the footpath for 30 minutes while the table we booked for 8.00 pm became available, a bit average. Plus we had 4 couples and when we came to pay the $350 bill we gave them the 4 credit cards and they made us pay a surcharge of $2 a card, a bit rough, it didnt really matter as we just didn't leave a tip. Very noisy and cramped, but very good food, needs bigger premises.
The food was amazing and great value. However, ambience was awful. It's overcrowded and noisy with not enough room for either diners or waiting staff to move around. The decor is sterile, boring and over lit- kind of feels like a city snack bar. People waiting for take away are not seperated from diners in anyway, and pretty much huddled around the front table. The front table stradles the doorway and you get a blast of cold air every time someone comes in for take away- which is frequent. But for me, the food is so good all of the above can be forgotten.
Good Food though acoustics in the R'R are not good the flavour and service of whats on your plate makes up for it not a place to go for a quiet chat !!!!
Food was great, but as others have said, HUGE SERVES! We had 4 of us, we got 3 entrees, and 2 mains between the 4 of us and couldn't finish everything. Restaurant was cramped but didn't bother us while we were sitting there, was just a bit cosy. Will return again
amazing food, loved it. a little too crowded for my liking though, but always get takeaway!
Meals are huge but had to wait 40 minutes one time for takeaway. Also hard to get in, left a message to book one time but never got a call back. Bit overrated.
Excellent food both in quality and size of servings - you will never go hungry at Kefi's and on this measure alone it's worth revisiting. Service is a weak point - long delays were experienced and numerous mistakes were made. What amazes me most though is the high ratings for Ambience given by many users on this site. Kefi's is crowded and noisy with a poor location, zero views, lack of any form of decor and uncomfortable seating. Well worth the visit based on the food and value, but there are a number of Greek restaurants that offer a far more complete Greek dining experience
Very cramped dining area, service slow and you are continually bumped by waitrresses or asked to move your chair so they could walk past. They spend too much time serving a never ending stream of take away clients adding also to how cramped the small dining room is, but great food and large serves ( made to look larger by being loaded on top of servings of wedges ) and very reasonable prices. Also an extremely noisy environment. Overall a different experience but struggle to see what people rave about other than nice food.
Shocking service. We booked with a pram and highchair, and when we arrived we were shoved in the back, then as more people came into the restaurant I was asked to move my pram out of the way... My response was that I booked for a pram and asked where they wanted me to put my sleeping baby! There was no room. At the end of the dinner, with a full room, I could no long fit my pram through to get out. After asking a staff member how to get my pram out I was simply told rudely "good luck"! Rude rude rude! Wrong drinks and wrong meals were bought to the table, and the sausage was completely under cooked both times. Who cooks a sausage in 2-5min! Not possible! We had to clear the table ourselves after entree and no effort was made to refresh drinks.
