This is a wonderful restaurant which we reserve for special occasions. The service is impeccable and so is the food. The potato roschti is a must have and the creme brulee dessert is to die for!
I have been to Lenzerheide 3 times now & have enjoyed myself everytime. Cannot fault anything.
I love this place because it's so consistent - you are always guaranteed an outstanding dining experience. The staff are always professional - nothing is too much trouble even when dining with a large group. The decor has been modernised which is nice but it is still comfortable. The food - I always have a hard time choosing from the menu because it all sounds so good and I know it will be. This is a pricey restaurant but the food and service deserve it, you don't leave feeling that you have overpaid for what you receive.
I have been fortunate to eat at Lenzerheide on several occasions over the past few months (High Tea / Several birthday celebrations / Engagement / Wedding Anniversary) and want you to know it is by far my favourite restaurant. Keep up the good work.
This is my favourite restaurant. I've been dining here for about 10 yrs now, and can always say that it is spot on every time. The service is second to none, and the food is well presented and always cooked to perfection. Never leave hungry and always enjoy our times there. Highly recommend this restaurant :)
Lenzerheide is a fantastic restaurant. i went there for the first time on Saturday night and it was the best dining experience i've had. We ordered the Shellfish Ragout for an entree, the chicken and duck for mains, and also a crepe and ice cream for dessert. The food was delightful and unmatched. We also ordered a side dish of Roschti and they served us a fantastic bread to whet the appetite. I have been to many top restaurants- Scampi's, Sammy's, The Hyatt etc and have found them to be terrible. lenzerheide was the exception. The shellfish ragout is a must and the dessert was extraodinary! Try this place and you will not be disappointed
Silver service dining in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The wine selection is one of the largest in Adelaide, and the knowledgeable staff will offer a suggested wine for the meal. European inspired, the menu offers something for every taste, from venison to King George whiting. A must on the menu is roschiti, which is crispy Swedish potato, served as a side dish. Don't let the price put you off...... Lenzerheide Restaurant is worth every cent, and once you have experienced the food on offer, you'll understand why Lenzerheide has the reputation it has.
I have been here several times and always had a good experience. Food is great with my favourite being the pepper steak madagasca. A good place to go to with your partner or a group of friends for any occasion.
Warm, welcoming and classy. Food is excellent — right down to the bread (which is given in abundance). I last ordered the Shellfish Ragout, Steak Olympus and Crème Caramel.
Love this restaurant, although me and my partner have to skip a few weeks worth of going out for dinner to afford it. Definitely worth the treat though. The service was great, food was delicous. Will be returning soon.
Talk about back to the future, the menu looked exactly the same as the last time I was there, 20 years ago! I reckon some of the staff and guests were the same as well! But seriously, this place has reached iconic status. They have hit the right formula and apart from tweaking at the edges its remained the same since the day it opened. This isn't a criticism but an observation. What they do they do very well, but they couldn't be described as cutting edge. For me it remains an excellent restaurant, but its somewhere to take mum, dad, grandma and grandpa, its comfortable without being challenging.
Lovely place. Beautiful modern decore without being too much. Very professional and welcomming staff. Fantastic menu and generous serving sizes. Although pricey, you pay for the whole experience and it is well worth it.
Without any doubt the best restaurant in Adelaide for offering superbly prepared traditional food every time. It is deservedly an Adelaide fine dining icon for people who appreciate good food and wine without pretention. The only thing bad about the place is that you keep comparing everywhere else to it and wish you had just gone back to the ever faithful. Long live the Lenzerheide!
This is one of my favourite restaurants in Adelaide. It is a little on the pricey side, but it is silver service and the food is spectacular and abundant. Their wine 'cellar' is fantastic as well. I have been going here for over 10 years and I have noticed in the last year or so that the service has dropped a bit - mainly not asking if I would like another drink.
the lenzerheide offers beautiful food and wonderful sevice. it was just unfortunate that on the night my husband and i went there. there was also a very large wedding party celebrating, as you do. so things were a tad on the noisy side. but putting that aside we had a very enjoyable evening and again the food is fabulous.
this restaurant is just lovely. the food is fabulous, the sevice wonderful. it was a little on the noisy side when i went there, however all that aside i would say the evening was a treat and i highly recommend it.
the desert is delicious!! i recommended the lemon sorbet with passionfruit and champagne its quite expensive though from what i can remember
The Lenzerheide is one of those restaurants you go to for a special night out. It’s well established, the service is excellent, and the furniture and décor very comfortable, if a bit dated. The menu provides lots of really good choices and the food is consistent and solid. It’s not innovative, it’s not mind blowingly nuanced in flavour, it’s just good solid European fare that’s well cooked. Nothing wrong with that.
A tradition-bound restaurant in some ways, which works both for and against it - excellent and consistent food, but the restaurant line up has varied little in the 20 or so years I've gone. Decor, too, is well past its prime and needs an urgent refresh. Having said that, the food is pretty well impossible to fault (if lacking a little in innovation), the restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, and the staff are prompt, efficient and very helpful.
The food here is always consistent but the surroundings and menu are quite dated (think 1980's decor & menu). This is a dependable special occasion place but not an exciting dining experience. Don't miss the roschti.
Dined here for our anniversary recently and ordered 2 entrees, 2mains and a side dish of potatoes. Can't complain about the food because it was delish but what i can't stand with fine dining is paying over $150 for a meal out but yet leaving hungry. Hubby and I aren't large people but we do like a filling meal....so in that regard, probably not the place to go if you prefer larger servings. We expected smaller serving sizes being a fine dining restaurant but would it really kill their profit margins much to add an extra slice or 2 of venison (the meal i had)? Lovely food, great service but don't think we'll be going back.
High Tea 12 noon Sat for Babyshower - Food & ambience fantastic (I didn't ask for special menu so my pregnant 'guest of honour' had very limited choice!). Most surprising and disappointing was lack of service. After our food & champagne was served the waiters disappeared! I had to find someone to offer us tea & coffee as we had almost finished our food. I ended up clearing the table myself as we needed room to open gifts. I've had better service going to Lenzerheide in the evening.
Pretentious, stuffy, self satisfied, condescending and over priced. Will not return. There are plenty of restaurants in Adelaide which offer interesting food with flair and passion - this is not one of them. The wine list is over priced and they won't allow BYO in the state which prides itself on being the principal wine producer in the country. Don't they understand that some people are happy to pay reasonable corkage to allow the opportunity to have some rare gems when out with friends and family?
Worst risotto I have ever had. I was greatly disappointed. Very expensive and terrible main course. The waiting staff were very professional however.
