Mamma's is very much like the heartbeat of Jetty Road. No matter what time of year whether your rugged up with a scarfe and hat or strollin struttin in summertime, you can not get a better value for money experience than to drop into Mamma's on Jetty Road Glenelg. I have been enjoying their exception courteous respectful service and great value food , wine, beer, coffee and sweets for many, many years. The pizzas are very difficult to beat for freshness and quality and at a realistic price. They have truly fresh ingredients which you can really savour. And for a quick snack while strolling down jetty road I would often enjoy a fully loaded bruschetta with a friend and a bottle of crisp chardonnay and some luscious garlic bread or a fresh garden salad that crunches in your mouth. And the view over the square and jetty is wonderful. I really can't speak highly enough of Mamma's. It surely is one of Jetty Road's most important gems. Value for money - without a doubt!

Being a local resident of the area my mother and I have eaten here many times (on and off) and we both agree that whilst the ambience of this place is lovely (sunny days by the beach!) the food is honestly a hit or miss. Some days you can have a fabulous fisherman's basket to share, other days you may catching yourself asking whether the cutlery is clean. Once mum ordered a veal schnitzel and it was incredibly small and oily. We have also caught lipstick on the water glasses a couple of times. Coffee is similar; you'll either get a great coffee or a luke-warm coffee. Also, don't order milkshakes; compared to other places down jetty road the presentation is really plain. You virtually get the metal cup they mixed it in. No fancy glass, no extended spoon, no ice/whipped cream, nuts or flavouring of any kind. Regardless, Mamma's is still a good place to eat (try to sit near the entrance of the restaurant, not the back as it's really stuffy) and has been in Glenelg for as long as I can remember. So if your staying at the Grand and don't want to pay top dollar for a meal, give Mamma's a go. You might be impressed, you might not...

Went for tea here recently with 3 other people. We were originally sat inside at the back of the restaurant but it was so hot & stuffy we waited for a table outside. All 4 meals were terrible & took a long time to come to the table. Would definetly not return.
