Fantastic quirky little Korean place just off Hindley St. Much better quality dumplings for only a little more $$ than in Chinatown - not to mention it's a small family run business and the interior and service is far superior to some of the other dumpling places. Their bibimbap is delicious, as are the fried and steamed dumplings. Great place for lunch or a light dinner - good value, delicious Korean dumplings.

Very cool little shop with nice furnishings. You are greeted with a cheery "hello" from the dumpling maker as you walk in and all the staff are friendly. While you decide what to have watch the dumplings being made in front of you. Excellent value for money with the supersized dumplings - can recommend the kim chi flavoured dumplings. Even though it's new it's already very popular.

I really like the small menu at Mandoo: hand made dumplings (steamed or fried), dumpling soup, dumpling hot pot and bimbimbap. I also like the fact that this is a compact family business that?s interested in serving its customers beautifully simple and good tasting food. On our first visit, we had a fantastic hot pot that was filled with a selection of dumplings, two types of noodles (rice and potato flour), bean curd, beef and vegetables in a lovely broth. This was served with a selection of pickled vegetables and complimentary bottle of water. The interior of the place is fairly straightforward until you look down at the floor, which is made of what looks like weathered timber planks with moss and flowers growing in the cracks. On a wet and woolly night, it made me think of a fairy tale mountain cabin in spring. Amazing.
