A word from Marron Cafe

Freshwater Crayfish are the main attraction in the Marron Caf? with an enticing range of marron menu options as well as steak, chicken and other dishes plus ?specials?. Bush Tucker herbs, such as lemon myrtle, grown on the property are used in many meals and with marron provide that exclusive Australian experience and flavour. Of course such meals aren?t complete without a fine wine and none better than from grapes grown on the farm produced under the award winning Two Wheeler Creek label. Diners can choose from a sparkling chardonnay, sparkling cabernet/shiraz, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and shiraz. Extra delights are the Bush Tucker sauces available for sale and the delicious lemon myrtle liqueur. It?s without a doubt a complete food and wine experience that captures much that is very special about Kangaroo Island. For those visitors who want to prolong the experiences and flavours, farm gate marron and cellar door wine sales are available either for immediate take away or for post / shipment elsewhere in Australia.

Great marron and accompanying food ( especially the sauces - yum!) the service was very good (polite, quick) and the adjacent marron farm is very interesting, too. The cafe interior is tidy and pleasant although a bit plain, but you come for the food not the architecture.
