I stumbled across this restaurant on the Web Menu site by accident and dined there last night. It was THE most amazing experience - from the food, to the service, to the wine to the atmosphere. EVERYTHING was spot on. I highly recommend the White Anchovy and Egg Gribiche Tapas. I cannot see how you could go wrong dining there. Loved it, loved it, loved it!

Recently celebrated a friends birthday with a casual Saturday lunch. Our whole experience was nothing short of fabulous! All four in the party agree the pizzas are now the best in Adelaide. Have replaced GoodLife at the No. 1 spot. Great wine list and quick attentive service. Always busy, would not go without a reservation. Well done to the Melt team.

A bustling yet laid back atmosphere is what to expect. It's popular, so if you don't like a crowded house maybe it's not for you, but it it is worth it for the best pizza in SA. The Albondigas (Spanish meatball) is superb and the Pizzini Brachetto 2008, if you like your sweets goes nicely with. Remember to book.

We had the 'shared table' option with a selection of tapas, pizza and dessert for a per person charge. Great value for money, every dish was great. Service was excellent even though it was busy. Quite loud for a Sunday night dinner. Will definitely be back!

This is the perfect place to meet with friends for a lovely lunch or over dinner before heading out to a night in the City as EVERYONE likes pizza and the range of cocktails and drinks available at the bar will also suit everyone. There is a wide range of unusual pizza toppings and you just cannot leave before trying the dessert pizzas with hazelnut and chocolate toppings!!!!!

Great spot - it's crowded because its popular and its popular because the food is great. Definitely need to book. Even though it was packed to capacity the service was speedy. The tapas is fresh and the pizzas are tasty. Reasonable wine list too.

The pizzas from Melt are to die for. I have eaten pizza from all over Adelaide and have found Melt to be in the top handful of places I would confidently recommend to friends. Also, don't be afraid to try the Chocolate and Pistachio Pizza with Frangelico Cream - it's awesome. To anyone who's looking to dine at Melt you can expect a relaxed yet funky atmosphere and pizzas that are superior to most pizza restaurants in Adelaide.

I stumbled across Melt one Sunday afternoon. Having recently been bitten by the Spanish food bug, I chose the albondigas tapas as well as the 160 pizza, both were fresh and delicious. The staff were friendly and provided great service, however perhaps a cocktail list could be introduced? I did enjoy my late afternoon Negroni, though. I'd definitely return to sample more of the pizza menu.

This is a favourite of mine. Whilst the pizzas are great we are always drawn back for the everchanging tapas menu. Very good wine list which wont cost a fortune. We were in a group this time so opted for the "shared table" which was a good choice in that a good range of dishes appeared although the dessert pizza was a let down after the rest of the meal. There are two sittings 6.30pm and 8.30pm. Be warned that if you attend the 6.30pm table you will be moved on at 8.30pm on the dot.

Melt on Saturday night. Food was absolutely supurb as always. Friendly waiting staff who provided good advice about food and wine selection, however, were a little hard to get the attention of at times. The ambiance is fantastic especially if you are perched at the bar with a friend. My only criticism is that patrons who indulge in the wine list are being absolutely ripped off. Take the bottle of Eliza sparkling we started with, $44 when it is only $32 down the road at Mantra! We were quite shocked with the dramatic difference especially when Melt offers less in terms of a setting than it's mate down the road. If you don't mind the price hike, get in on it. Well done.

I dig the tapas, I love that you can get a cocktail on a Saturday afternoon and I wish there were more places like it. Keep up the good work. Cheers!

i have been coming to melt for a few years now and just adore the place, recently had a dinner there with a few people, there ended up being 2 extras, but i was told during the day that they could squeeze a couple more in than i had booked for if it happened. However the staff were really unimpressed at this, which i apologised for. when i made the booking i had specifically requested a couple of menu items due to my fussy partner (we were having the shared table option) they told me this was not a problem, however when i asked on the night it was just ignored. Of our very large booking, 2 people were vegetarian, however 80% of our food was meat free, which doesn't bother me but did disappoint a few others. There was always 2 or 3 people that missed out on a piece of the tapas, giving me the impression that we were only given food for the original number of people, but charged for the extra two. Wait staff were pretty surly and snapped at a friend for lifting up her glass in an attempt to make it easier for them. I still love this place, and will be back, but probably only with a maximum of 6 people, it just didn't seem to work well that night.

My dining experience at this restaurant six months ago was actually fantastic. The food was great and the service was fantastic; the barman was chatting to us making sure we were always satisfied, as were the polite and equally interested barwomen. However I went there last night with my partner and we sat at the same spot at the bar as we did last time, to which we had a different experience than anticipated. The tapas of pan fried haloumi cheese and some chicken wings were good. We had an El Diablo pizza to share as a main, this was good too however I discovered half-way through that it was missing something … the mozzarella. I felt silly for not realising this earlier and given that nearly half was gone, I didn’t feel the need to say anything at this point. Our night was not affected too much by this incident, but the poor inattentive and disinterested service is what did it. I think the only words offered to us all night by one of the three (somewhat depressed) people in front of us was ‘what would you like?’ when it came time to take our order. I had to ask to order the cocktails and wine, and my water glass was only filled once all night despite being empty for some time. The sad looking girl behind the bar gave my partner an overtly disappointed/pretentious look when she declined more wine, I actually found this distasteful. I didn’t feel we had been reserved at all at this point, especially since I spent $200 the night before at XO Super Club (where I highly recommend you go if you haven’t!) and I had planned to still order a chocolate pizza for dessert plus coffees and a cognac for myself; but it was here that I decided to finish and end our meal elsewhere, in an attempt to redeem some satisfaction from our evening. Also, there was lots of noise which I hadn’t experienced last time. For example cutlery being thrown by staff into the tubs, glasses breaking behind the bar and just general clanging (not sure what from though). This didn’t happen at all last time, despite the modest floor space and continuous conversations by many guests. I’m not too happy Melt and I won’t be coming back unfortunately, nor recommending you like I had previously; I can only hope those who went under my advice did not encounter an experience like mine last night. I will opt for pizzas at Farina Kitchen & Bar or Sparrow in the future. I was actually happier prior to entering Melt than when I left lol! I would spend your money elsewhere guys, there are plenty more restaurants to attend throughout Adelaide where I know you will go home happy and also frequently return.
