7 of us dined here for my son's birthday. We all chose the Everest banquet and the food was just sensational. I had always wanted to try goat and I wasn't disappointed, the goat curry was yummy! I must say that I was almost full after the entree, so much food. The banquet was great value for money @ $38. Great selection of wines and the owners and staff were very attentive.
namaste' is simply a beautiful place to go and eat. the atmosphere is lovely, the service excellent and the food, wow! especially the sekawa chicken. give it ago you won't be disappointed. it does get busy so book in advance
My partner and I have been coming to Namaste for about 5 years, and after another gorgeous meal there tonight, decided it was time to share a review! While the owner has recently changed hands, the chef (changed, then changed back to the original head chef) is AMAZING, and the food is delicious. We always choose the goat curry, which falls apart and is so tender. The roti (naan) bread is always perfectly cooked. Tonight we also had chilli chicken, which was delicious. Overall, we've never had a bad meal at Namaste. The service is also wonderful. Tonight we were attended to by the Chef's son, Sonny, who was energetic, friendly and so attentive and thoughtful. And that's consistent with every other experience we've had at this restaurant. Our families have celebrated my mother-in-law's 60th birthday here, and my own 30th birthday, and we've never been disappointed with the food, service or atmosphere. If you like Indian-style food (although Nepalese has some distinct flavours), friendly service and a quaint atmosphere, you'll love Namaste. And yes, I know this sounds like a paid advertisement! But we are genuinely just locals in Parkside who love this little place!
Always a pleasure to eat and dine, so many flavours to choose from. Hosts and staff always pleasant and eager to please. Angela is a great hostess always helping new guests with the menu as well as making regulars feel at home and comfy. Whether it is a romantic dinner for two, a cosy dinner for four or a special celebration for 10 or more, Namaste can and delivers great service and food. I challenge you to try at least once, as I believe it will not be the only time you will visit Bon apetite
I have enjoyed my meals, ambience, service and price every time that I have visited. I have reccommended to many of my friends and have made group bookings and reccommend the banquet if you are thinking of doing a group booking. I just wish that I didn't live so far away otherwise I might eat there more often.
Had a tremendous night there. Truly lovely atmosphere with a real authentic feel. Meals were sensational especially the Goat Curry and the wine was even better. Grand Barossa Shiraz!
Hadn't been here for a while and wondered why we had left it so long. Great food (four of us had the Everest banquet). Lovely and very helpful staff. Highly recommended.
i love it here!! have always been served good food and it is has cute but understated decor
best eating experience I have had in a long time. No complaints, lots of praise. J.N
Went there a couple of weeks ago, as always, can never have a bad thing to say about the food. Absolutely wonderful. Service from the waitress was fantastic but unfortunately same can't be said about the owner. When we arrived my wife and I were spoken to and treated by the owner in such a manner that we were very close to walking out. He is not the greatest advertisment for this wonderful restaurant!! It's a shame that we are doubting wether we will go back
Namaste was recommended to us by diners at an adjacent table in an Indian Restaurant! Namaste is located in an old converted house so there are several 'rooms' which makes for a quieter dining experience, although large windows opening onto the footpath make some tables feel rather exposed. Unfortunately the ambience was somewhat destroyed for us by several large flies in our room. Eventually the host dealt with them and we got to ordering. Never having eaten Nepalese food before I can't comment on the authenticity of the food, but I can say it was delicious, with nicely balanced spices and well-presented. The host was attentive and friendly, and we were coached on the Nepalese menu. I would certainly recommend a visit.
