I recently held my wedding reception at Old Adelaide Inn. Food was delicious, service very personal and prompt throughout the planning stages and the actual day. Ambience is fantastic. Extremely good value all round. Will definately be recommending to anyone and going back to the hotel and restaurant.

attended wedding, pre dinner drinks and nibbles, very slow, spring rolls obviously ex frozen as some were still joined together with uncooked pastry, other nibbles cold or soggy when served, and beer served last due to issues with bar tap, surely something that could have been sorted out b4 guests arrived. adjourned for main meal, entree:chicken and mushroom vol a vent, could not tell what was chicken and what was mushroom, cream sauce tasteless. warm vege tart was also served heard negative comments but did not try, main meal was stuffed chicken breast or steak, both served with a square of a potato bake of sorts, floury and inedible, and a tomato pesto thing also inedible, chicken ok, steak like leather, some guests got steak knives, others didn't, dessert horrid apple tart, but brandy snap baskets delicious if you did not want the melted icecream thwt was served with them. drinks service slow, I waited 45 minutes for a jug of iced water when drinks package was included, glasses removed from table 1 hr b4 drinks to be stopped I suppose this slows the drinking. entire complex very tired, many guests stayed overnight, most commented that next time they would stay 5 star in city and taxi it. would not recommend this venue for any special occasion, I have had better meals in shopping centre food courts!!!

I organised a breakfast function last year. The service was very bad. No one came to look after the event or give me a hand with IT etc. The data projector that was arranged initially, wasn't set up. The food was alright. I won't be using their service again.

We had to wait nearly 10 minutes to be seated in an almost empty restaurant, we were then seated next to another couple so we could hear their conversation. We had to order our drinks twice because the waiter forgot us the first time. My husband did not get what he had ordered for his entree and when we enquired about this to the waitress she told us she would enquire in the kitchen and then proceeded to ignore us for the rest of the evening. My entree was far too slty and over cooked to the point of burnt! So was my main course and my husbands main (steak) was tough as old boots, fatty and not medium rare as requested. The house wine tasted like a very poor and very cheap clean skin. Would give zero for everything but the bars would not drop below "4"!!!!

We went to the resaurant expecting a good night out. What we experienced was poor. The entree of oysters kilpatrick was lame (I could have cooked better myself), the steak for main course was of poor quality (dry and tasted like it had freezer burn)and was not cooked to Medium Rare as requested (it was more like medium raw). It felt like we were in an episode of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. Very disappointing - try somewhere else next time.
