Spent an exceptional evening at the Summit celebrating my husband's birthday with a large group of friends - superb food with a specially designed menu by the gifted Chef Beau - new manager Tony has created a warm and inviting atmosphere consistent with a silver service restaurant and for our evening he provided talented local entertainment and an amazing event coordinator - Sharon from Unique Events. The wine menu has been revamped and the service was faultless. What a special evening we had - and when we were there, mid July -the lights of the city were a magical background for what was a perfect evening

Really enjoyed our night at the Summit restaurant. The new owners are sure to improve the restaurant for the better. Excellent service and very happy with the food.

There's no way to disguise it, the Summit Restaurant is a novelty venue trying to be a destination venue. The food is good (but certainly over-priced) and the service reasonable. At night the building's design is cold and unwelcoming and you have to fight your way through the tourism brochure stands, the closed cafe etc. During the day, all these are open and full of screaming children. If you're after a casual (but expensive)foccacia mid-way through a bush-walk, then great. If you're after a nice romantic dinner overlooking the lights of the city, go to Windy Point!

Good venue, food and view. First time I've ever been served a drink with a thick film of dust all over the rim (except where my lips had already met the glass!). I'd recommend Windy Point over this any day.

Excellent location befitting a top flight restaurant, should a top flight restaurant one day choose to set up at Mount Lofty Summit. Food was fair to middling pub fare, lacking in innovation and flair, at a boutique price - a 200g steak with mash for just shy of $40 is more than a little outrageous. Sides dishes - roasted rosemary potatoes, garden salads - were in the vicinity of $10, meaning a main course each, including such niceties, was typically into the mid $40s. I'd willingly pay this for something memorable but, other than the location, the food simply isn' t up to scratch. Mains needs a lift to something sublime to warrant the price, or the prices need to drop to something more appropriate to what was received.
