Tucked away in the courtyard of the Republic (off Palmer Street), East Sydney, Tajine offers a blend of exotic North African and French flavours interpersed with rhythmic beats. Once lured, you will never want to leave.
Tajine is the inspiration of Omar Madji, who's previous establishments include the Mosquito Bar, Dar Es Salaam Casablanca and Out of Africa.
Aromatically spiced mazza platters, Bastilla delicately infused with saffron and hearty lamb Tajines are just a few of the favourites sure to impress.
Tajine is also the name for the traditional earthenware vessel used for this famous Moroccan one-pot slow cooking (a method that is being recognised and appreciated once again for its full flavours and traditional techniques).
