Serving Asian & Vietnamese.
A very well furnished restaurant with comfy but modern chairs and big wine glasses. Good wine list with lots of South Australian selections. Large menu with authentic selections. One of the few places I know that does lotus root salad. Great rice hotpot. Good service. Can be busy so it pays to book.
Had dinner at Vietnam Sunrise on Sat (April 2011) for first time. Doesn't look appealling from outside, but inside decor is lovely. Food was excellent, service fast & efficient, waiters friendly, ambience was relaxing. Quails are a must-try, rice hot-pot was delicious. All tables were occupied and patrons were waiting at the door for a table to become available. Loved the experience, will return soon and I highly recommend.
My family and I eat regularly at Vietnam Sunrise and keep coming back. The staff are wonderful and we enjoy our experience everytime. The Vietnamese New Year was a very enjoyable night and it was great to try dishes we may never have chosen ourselves. We have recomended this restaurant to all our friends.
this place is a little gem. the interior is fabulous, with lovely lighting and vibrant red chairs. the food is so fresh and so delicious. fast service, however that was on a Wednesday night.. we will definitely go back. yum. their salt and pepper squid is a must and the cured beef in lime salad... mouthwatering stuff.
Always an enjoyable experience, with great food and friendly, excellent service, but Vietnamese New Year banquet was fantastic. Everything from the entree mix (the crab claws were a special treat for me) through the main courses to the desert was perfect, and the DJ, Lion Dance and Belly Dancers made it a 'new year" to remember, and return for next year! 100%
My family and I had one of the banquets and the food was amazing! We had relatives over from Hong Kong and they all raved about the food. All the ingredients were fresh, and we got a lot of food for the price we paid. Vietnam Sunrise is very popular, so remember to book!
Friendly service, excellent authentic Vietnamese cruisine and great location for couple and group dining makes us want to dine in every time we drove past. We also find the newly renovated bar and fireplace keep us warm and cosy while we wait for our take away order. Well done. We look forward to our next dine in again.
Best asian I have ever eaten and I have tried a lot of asian restaurants. The interior is extremely nice and the smells are amazing. The food is even better :D A bit on the pricy side, but you get what you pay for.
Excellent service, great food. Would highly recommend it. Try the skewered minced prawns.
Sensational food with excellent customer service. Love the design and decorations of the restaurant. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great place to enjoy good food and company. Cynthia is a great hostess!
Wonderful food. Excellent service. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Vast selection of authentic vietnamese dishes, reasonably priced. Service and food were excellent.
had a banquet for 4it was some of the best Asian food ive experienced tasty fresh and well presented, Only small criticism took a little to long between the courses but highly recommended.
Set right on the intersection of Henley Beach & Holbrooks Roads & not looking like much from the outside, I was surprised at the pleasant ambience once inside Vietnam Sunrise. The food is good, with a range of fresh flavours. Staff are friendly & prices very reasonable. Definitely worth checking out.
I eat here regularly and get a lot of takeaway during the week. The food quality is good value for the price against other restaurants in the area. Service is fantastic, staff are always polite. They have a nice waiting area for those waiting for takeaway. They could do more with the food but that means that the price would also go up. I'm happy the way it is. Keep up the good work.
Very good Vietnamese food. Interior decor was a pleasant surprise - much better than most comparable Asian restaurants. Had the mixed entree platter - highlights were delicious chicken skewers, amazing spring rolls... Combination steam boat was so tasty, fresh, healthy and delicious - heaps of food for two of us - all that plus a bottle of wine was only $58 using Entertainment Book discount. Will definitely go back, keen to try the quail and the hotpots.
Vietnam Sunrise is clearly filling a need for good, reasonably priced food in this part of the western suburbs. On the Friday night that we went, the place was buzzing, and deservedly so. The food is fresh and generally well prepared, with a style that caters to more western tastes, whilst the service is very friendly and efficient. We chose the prawn meat sugar cane skewers and were a little disappointed with the lack of flavour, but the "Authentic Vietnamese Salad" was fantastic to eat, even on a cold night. The wine list is also good, with a compact selection and some worthwhile choices by the glass. Definitely worth another visit.
I was disappointed with my Vietnam Sunrise experience. The meals lacked flavour. Vietnamese food has a wonderful blend of sweet and sour explosions with each bite, but this meal was bland and uneventful on the palate. The cured steak with lime was overcooked and served with lemons not limes?? The seafood salad with basil lacked seafood and there was an abundance of greenery. We ordered oysters with ginger and shallots for entree and this dish was the only fond taste memory I have of this restaurant. I asked the diners sitting next to us if they enjoyed their meal. One dish was flavoursome the other not. I am amazed that this restaurant has remained open for so long and is consistently busy. Maybe the chef called in sick??
Tonight I dined at the Vietnam Sunrise restaurant. Although the small amount of food I had was delicious, I would never return to dine again because of the terrible service I received. I waited over half an hour to be served, got one entree half an hour after ordering both mains and entree, and waited a further half an hour before walking out as the mains had not yet been served. Although it was a busy night, large tables sitting around me walked in, we're served and received their food whilst we waited and were ignored. I do not recommend this establishment.
very disappointing, we ordered the quail and we waited for 20 mintues for a burnt quail. then we later had to wait for another 20 minutes for our next course to come out. we had the rice in hotpot and was very excited about it, but when the dish came out it was all burnt, we told the waitor and he told us it was suppose to be like it , and to eat around it. very disappointing.
