If there was a negative score available for food and value - I would assign it for this place! My husband and I had been waiting to try this buffet for ages due to so many people raving about it.... all I can say is I can not understand how ANYONE could consider this food edible. Although there is a HUGE selection, there is not a flavoursome item around. For example, something as simple as pita bread and dips were revolting! The pita bread was DEEP FRIED - the pizza tasted like it had been sitting there for 3 weeks, and everything was COLD. The 'samosas' were actually some type of spring rolls and again STONE COLE. I was hoping the dessert selection would be there saving grace - but unfortunately not! Even something as simple as chocolate torte was dry and inedible. For over $25 a head, this was quite possibly the worst $50 I've spent on food in years. We will never be going back.

Not a bad buffet, large range of selections, although some dishes were not replaced when empty, had to get in quick or miss out. Pleasant venue, staff were nice. Bit rushed with a second service at lunch time.

I reserved a table for my daughters 18th birthday dinner in the restaurant. This was my experience. - When I made the reservation, I was not advised that there would have to be a guardian present. - my daughter invited 11 of her friends, of which, 7 of them were over 18, the other 4 were 17 years of age. - when she got there, she was told by a security guard that she could not enter without a legal guardian, (this was a restaurant at 7pm, not a night club) - my husband, after working a 12 hour shift at work and still in uniform went there immediately to sort out the problem - he was told that he had to stay, and sit at the table with the girls, and that everyone of them should have brought a parent or guardian with them to attend the dinner. -there was no seat for him, he was told that he was not able to sit at the bar and that he would have to sit in close proximity to the girls, so he had to sit in the foyer, next to them. - I was at work, I am a nurse working in critical care. I had no idea this was all going on, I would not have booked a dinner on a night I was working if I had been told of the hotel's policy. - my husband rang our older daughter, who had planned to go to a 21st, and asked her to come and supervise the girls so he could go home and change because he felt uncomfortable sitting in a uniform that he had worn for 12 hours. He spoke to a manager who confirmed that this would be okay. My daughter is 21 years old and a 4th year medical student. -my husband picked me up from work and on the way we received a phone call from my older daughter informing us that she had been told that she was not an appropriate guardian and that my younger daughter and her friends would have to leave. -I was so upset that by the time we arrived there I was so intent on finding my daughter that when I walked in to the restaurant, I tripped on a step and fell on to my knees, and put out my left hand to break my fall and consequently sprained my wrist. - I asked to speak to the Duty Manager, who ironically would have been approximately the same age as my older daughter. I expressed my dismay at the whole situation. He had been in the job for only one week, and he was completely out of this depth, it was obvious that he was quoting his text book from a recent conflict development course, he was of no help at all. -So we spent approximately $500 on this evening, and the only memory that my daughter has, is the whole evening was a disaster. She can't comment on the meal or service because she was so distressed at the whole situation. However, one thing she does remember is being asked to pay a $10 fee for cutting up cake, I had rang the hotel earlier in the day and asked if we could bring in cupcakes and if there would be a charge and I was told there would not be. - this whole situation could have been avoided if I had been informed about their policy, because I would have booked somewhere else. We communicated by phone twice and paid a deposit in person at the hotel. On all three occasions we were not advised about the need for a legal guardian. SO THEREFORE MY RECOMMENDATION IS, DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL, IT IS BEING RUN BY ADOLESCENTS AND OVER ZEALOUS SECURITY GUARDS, i WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL . I CAN THINK OF DOZENS OF OTHER VENUES IN ADELAIDE, WHERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HIGH ON THE LIST. THE WALKERS ARMS, FROM MY EXPERIENCE HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS.
