Bistro Vue

As a visitor to Melbourne I was keen to try at least one of Shannon Bennett's famed restaurants; my disorganisation excluded Vue De Monde but I was ecstatic to find that Bistro Vue could fit us in.

We were welcomed warmly and immediately seated in a booth table, despite not having a booking. Service was friendly and attentive and more than willing to humor our ignorance when it came to French bistro style dining.

What was to be a fantastic meal began with a pissaladiere and french onion soup. I then had the lamb wellington which amazing, the lamb and pastry both perfectly cooked and tender beyond belief, my partner had roast hare; amazing flavour and cooked to tender.

After two amazing courses, the perfect, rich chocolate souffle was the only way to end the meal. We left warm, full and happy.
